<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you&#8217;ve never stayed at Lagoon Campground in Farmington, Utah, here&#8217;s seven tips to help make your stay there even better! Check it out!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-kadence-image kb-image_a470a5-48 size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-in-Farmington-Utah-1024x768.jpg" alt="Lagoon Campground in Farmington Utah" class="kb-img wp-image-2008821" srcset="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-in-Farmington-Utah-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-in-Farmington-Utah-300x225.jpg 300w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-in-Farmington-Utah-768x576.jpg 768w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-in-Farmington-Utah-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-in-Farmington-Utah-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-in-Farmington-Utah-500x375.jpg 500w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption><em>Lagoon Campground in Farmington Utah</em></figcaption></figure>

<span id="more-2008820"></span>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Growing up in Davis County, Utah, going to <a href="http://www.lagoonpark.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lagoon Amusement Park</a> was a rite of passage. It was so much fun! But believe it or not, I had never been to the Lagoon Campground until I was an adult with five kids of my own. The entire time I was there, I thought, &#8220;Why haven&#8217;t I done this before?&#8221; And we learned some helpful tips and tricks along the way to help you out as well.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-kadence-image kb-image_d2922d-03 size-large"><img decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground_Pinterest-4-683x1024.jpg" alt="Pin for Lagoon Campground
" class="kb-img wp-image-2008828" srcset="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground_Pinterest-4-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground_Pinterest-4-200x300.jpg 200w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground_Pinterest-4-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground_Pinterest-4-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground_Pinterest-4-1365x2048.jpg 1365w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground_Pinterest-4.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">#1: Reserve your spot early</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Reservations to stay at the <a href="http://www.lagoonpark.com/park-info/camping/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lagoon Campground</a> open up online the second week of February. Although, it doesn&#8217;t book completely right away, the summer months usually fill up the fastest. If you want a specific campsite&#8211;the like deluxe pull through sites&#8211;you&#8217;ll want to book as early as possible. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We reserved our spot in May, about a month in advance, and didn&#8217;t have any trouble. However, if you want to stay at Lagoon during Frightmares in October, those fill up the fastest. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">#2: Park your camping trailer in the overflow</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lagoon park opens at 10 a.m. on most days. However, you can&#8217;t check into your campsite until 1 p.m. So, to work around that, you can pull up to the campground registration office before 10 a.m. and the host will give you a camping overflow parking pass. This allows you to park your camping trailer in a large grass field on the north side of Lagoon. Then, you can enjoy Lagoon and then park your trailer at your earliest convenience.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-kadence-image kb-image_351460-c9 size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="636" src="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-Parking-Pass-1024x636.jpg" alt="Lagoon Campground Parking Pass" class="kb-img wp-image-2008822" srcset="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-Parking-Pass-1024x636.jpg 1024w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-Parking-Pass-300x186.jpg 300w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-Parking-Pass-768x477.jpg 768w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-Parking-Pass-1536x954.jpg 1536w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Lagoon-Campground-Parking-Pass-2048x1271.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption><em>Campground Parking Pass</em></figcaption></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">#3: Bring a portable fire pit</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you want to have a campfire while you&#8217;re camping at Lagoon, then you&#8217;ll need to bring your own <a href="https://amzn.to/3PjvnWA" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow">portable fire pit</a>. Personal propane and <a href="https://amzn.to/448JP8c" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow">charcoal grills</a> are also permitted. You&#8217;re just required to dispose of your hot coals in the dumpsters provided. We are so glad we brought out fire pit. Roasted hot dogs were the perfect break after riding rides all day long.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-kadence-image kb-image_a03928-52 size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Campfire-at-Lagoon-Campground-1024x768.jpg" alt="Campfire at Lagoon Campground" class="kb-img wp-image-2008826" srcset="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Campfire-at-Lagoon-Campground-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Campfire-at-Lagoon-Campground-300x225.jpg 300w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Campfire-at-Lagoon-Campground-768x576.jpg 768w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Campfire-at-Lagoon-Campground-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Campfire-at-Lagoon-Campground-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Campfire-at-Lagoon-Campground-500x375.jpg 500w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption><em>Bring your own fire pit to the campground</em></figcaption></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">#4: Go on a bike ride along Farmington Trail</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you have time during your stay at the campground, I would recommend riding a bike or walking along the Farmington Lagoon Trail. This is a paved trail that weaves around the perimeter of the park. As you walk, you can see the bison and elk inside Lagoon and catch a glimpse of Rattlesnake Rapids. It eventually leads to Farmington Pond. The best part is that the campground is right next to the trailhead for easy access.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-kadence-image kb-image_d44beb-e1 size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Farmington-Lagoon-Trail-1024x768.jpg" alt="Farmington Lagoon Trail" class="kb-img wp-image-2008823" srcset="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Farmington-Lagoon-Trail-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Farmington-Lagoon-Trail-300x225.jpg 300w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Farmington-Lagoon-Trail-768x576.jpg 768w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Farmington-Lagoon-Trail-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Farmington-Lagoon-Trail-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Farmington-Lagoon-Trail-500x375.jpg 500w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption><em>Farmington Lagoon Trail</em></figcaption></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">#5: Exit directly from Lagoon to the campground</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The best part about staying at Lagoon Campground is being able to take a break during the day for lunch or a quick nap. There is a gate at the south end of the park right next to Musik Express that allows you to exit. However, you cannot go back into the park through the same gate. You have to follow a walkway back to the front entrance to go back into the park. It&#8217;s about a 5-minute walk.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-kadence-image kb-image_3a2fc7-d6 size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Exit-from-Lagoon-to-the-campground-1024x768.jpg" alt="Exit from Lagoon to the campground" class="kb-img wp-image-2008824" srcset="https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Exit-from-Lagoon-to-the-campground-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Exit-from-Lagoon-to-the-campground-300x225.jpg 300w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Exit-from-Lagoon-to-the-campground-768x576.jpg 768w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Exit-from-Lagoon-to-the-campground-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Exit-from-Lagoon-to-the-campground-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://mysillysquirts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Exit-from-Lagoon-to-the-campground-500x375.jpg 500w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption><em>Exit from Lagoon to the campground</em></figcaption></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">#6: Jump on the free shuttle to Station Park</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you don&#8217;t want to pay for dinner inside of the park, Lagoon has a free shuttle on the west side of the main parking lot. <a href="https://www.rideuta.com/Rider-Tools/Schedules-and-Maps/667-Lagoon-Shuttle" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bus 667</a> comes about every 15 minutes or so and takes you to <a href="https://www.shopatstationpark.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Station Park</a>. They have many, many delicious restaurants, shopping areas, movie theater and a grocery store. If you wanted to stay at the campground an extra day, you could easily fill your time there. Plus, it&#8217;s nice to take a free shuttle if you don&#8217;t want to take your motorhome or your truck is hooked up to your fifth wheel.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">#7: Take advantage of the amenitities</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Of all of the campgrounds that our family has stayed at (and we&#8217;ve stayed at a lot), Lagoon Campground is by far one of the nicest. The entire campground is shaded with huge, beautiful trees. There are hot showers and clean bathrooms, laundry facilities, convenience store and a sandwich shop. The campsites are very large and spacious. You aren&#8217;t pile up right next to each other. The entire experience is so wonderful and we will definitely stay there again. Here is a YouTube video that I made showing the entire campground in detail. Check it out!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
