A little box of sunshine is the perfect gift for that family member or friend who needs a little pick-me-up. It’s super easy to make and will bring loads of smiles to all involved.

So, my sister is going through a bit of a rough patch and I was trying to think of something I could give her to make her smile. Flowers just didn’t seem like the right fit. I needed something that would brighten her day, literally. Here’s how you can make your own (free printable included).

Fill your box with sunshine

First. head to the grocery store and scan the aisles for anything that is yellow. Candy, snacks, anything you think your friend might like. Here’s a list of items that I used and some extras:

• Trident Vibes
• Lemon Gatorade
• Lemon Oreo Cookies
• Bath bombs
• Yellow Dish Soap
• Eos lip balm
• “Cup of Sunshine” Mug
• Smiley face stress balls
• Sun necklace

Cover your box in yellow and add printable

I used yellow poster board to cover a cardboard box inside and out. Or you can make your life even easier and buy a little box of sunshine sticker kit online by clicking here.

Then, download the FREE printable below and attach them to the inside flaps of the cardboard box.

Wrap it and tag it

Add a yellow bow and a cute tag that says, “A little something to brighten your day.” I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t want to receive this cute sunny box as a gift!?
