Booing your neighbors has been my favorite Halloween tradition in my neighborhood during the month of October for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I always got so excited when we finally got “booed” by our neighbors. That’s why I want to continue this fun activity with my kids and the whole neighborhood as well. Here’s how you can too. Keep reading to learn more.

Print your You’ve Been Booed Printable

The most important part of this fun Halloween game is the instructions so the game can spread to everyone. I designed this super cute and simple PDF printable that can be printed on cardstock paper on your home computer or at your local copy store.

How to play You’ve Been Boo’ed

If this is is your first time playing this fun Halloween game, don’t worry. It’s super easy. Around October 1st, you’ll want to fill a gift basket or boo bags with a bunch of fun Halloween treats and goodies (see below for ideas). Next, attach a “Boo” gift tag to the basket. Then, include the printed instruction page (see below) and window sign in the basket. Finally, leave the basket on the porch of the person or neighbor you are booing and then ring the door and run. Make sure they don’t see you spreading Halloween cheer.

Once your neighbor discovers their surprise, they simply make copies of the pages that you included in the basket. They will hang their “We’ve been boo’ed” sign in their front window and then repeat the process with another neighbor. Hopefully, by the time Halloween arrives, everyone in your entire neighborhood will have been “boo’ed.”

There’s lots of fun different things you can include in your basket to “boo” your neighbors. You don’t have to spend a lot of money. You can get a lot of fun stuff for cheap at the dollar store. Here’s just a few to get you started.

• Plastic pumpkin bucket or cauldron
• Glow in the dark bouncy balls
• Candy corn plush
• Slap bracelets
• Mini witch hats and cauldrons
• Peanut Butter and Jelly costume
• Indoor Halloween lights
• Halloween squishy toys or other fun toys
• Homemade treats (rice krispies, popcorn, cookies)
• Halloween candy

I love this family birthday board. It’s a simple way to remember all the birthdays in your family and it makes a beautiful conversation piece to hang in your home. The best part is this printable is completely free. So, check it out.

I originally made a birthday board for my mom for Christmas years ago. She hung it up in her hallway and we’ve watched as more in-laws and grand kids have slowly been added. It’s such a treasure to have in any home. So here’s how you can make your own.

Print your family birthday board

The completed size of this family birthday board is 16 inches by 20 inches. All you have to do is download and email the PDF below to your local copy store. I laminated mine but if you’re placing it in a frame, you probably don’t need to laminate it. Since it’s black and white, it ended up costing less than $5 to print! Cut out the birthday squares

Once you get your family birthday board back from the printer, cut out each of the individual birthday squares with a paper cutter. It only took me about 10 minutes to cut them all.

You can also cut them out with scissors, but a paper cutter makes clean straight cuts. If you don’t own a paper cutter, I would highly recommend one. I use mine all of the time.

As a last step, write down all the names of the people in your family on the line underneath their respective birth dates. I would recommend using an ultra fine tip permanent marker. Then I just taped each of the squares in the correct column for the month they were born. Then, insert your completed birthday board into a frame. Here are some cute frame options to choose from:
