Create a fabulous party dip bar in three easy steps
Everyone loves dips. They are the ultimate comfort food. So, why not make a party dip bar for your next gathering? I’ll show you how to pull it off in three easy steps and your guests are going to LOVE it! Check it out.

My son asked if he could have his Homecoming Dance Afterparty at our house. So obviously, I decided the perfect thing to feed 12 hungry teenagers was a dip bar. It has a little bit of everything for everyone. Plus, it’s way easy and takes hardly any prep. Take a look.
Gather your party dip bar supplies
You might have a lot of the supplies for a dip bar at your house already. You can basically do whatever you want. That’s why I love it. Here’s all the supplies that I needed.
- Four savory dips
- Four sweet dips
- Sweet snacks (marshmallows, fruit, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, etc.)
- Savory snacks (pretzels, chips, veggies, Ritz crackers, etc.)
- Eight small dip bowls
- Tiered dessert stand
- Large serving bowl
- Serving tray

Step #1: Make your dip bar signs and labels
You can’t do a dip bar without some really cute labels and signs. It just gives that extra touch that elevates your buffet from average to amazing. I asked AI to design some printable signs for me. It took like five minutes. However, if you don’t want to mess with that, you can also download the signs that I made by clicking below.

Step #2: Set up your buffet table
Before you prep any of your food, you’ll want to lay out all of your dishes, platters, trays and stands so see where everything is going to fit. Otherwise, you won’t really know how much food and where you want to put it.
I wanted to put the dips towards the front of the table. I also found a box and covered it with a table cloth. Then I put the main dip sign with an easel on it. You want to have varying levels to your buffet table. It’s so much more pleasing to the eye.

Step #3: Lay out all the dips and snacks
Although I had eight different dips on the buffet table, I only made three of the dips from scratch. The rest I just bought from the store. It was fun to have the left side with savory dips and the right side with sweet dips.

I also wanted to have a veggie/fruit tray just to make it a little easier healthier (easier on the waistline). Overall, I think it came together really nicely. My son said that everyone loved it. Even though there was way too much food, I’m just glad it made their Homecoming after-party extra special.
