Deliciously-fun Cheese Ball Pumpkins
Your kids are in for a treat! These do-it-yourself cheese ball pumpkins are so fun to make and even more fun to eat. They are the perfect activity for any Halloween or Thanksgiving gathering. Plus, they are SUPER easy. Let’s get started!
So, what is better than cheese balls? Well, cheese balls and easy cheese of course! I don’t know any kid who doesn’t like these. That’s why I came up with the idea to combine the two. Here’s how to do it.
Gather your cheese ball pumpkin supplies
Here’s what you’ll need to start all the fun:
- Large container of cheese balls
- Easy cheese in a can
- Sweetarts Sour Apple Soft and Chewy Ropes
- Large syringes
Fill your syringes with easy cheese
If you only have one container of easy cheese and a whole bunch of kids, it’s going to be hard to share. That’s why I bought some large syringes and filled each on with easy cheese. The kids loved having their very own syringe to work with.
You don’t need to fill the syringes very full. The cheese goes surprisingly a long way. Just don’t let the kids squirt the cheese directly into their mouths, ha ha!
Start building your pumpkin
I gave each of my kids a plate and a syringe. Then I put out a big bowl of cheese balls. My kids started by squeezing a dot of cheese onto a cheese ball and placing it on their plate.
Then, they just used their imagination and created their own cute pumpkins. They loved every minute of it! My husband even joined in on the fun.
Add the candy stem
As a final touch, cut a small piece from some Sweetarts Soft and Chewy Sour Apple Ropes and place it on the top with a little easy cheese. It’s what makes your cheese ball actually look like a pumpkin. They are really yummy too!
I love the way these turned out. It was a super fun and festive activity to get my kids excited for Halloween. Don’t forget, you can do this for Thanksgiving too!
