Whether it’s Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or Valentine’s Day, any day is a great day to make this adorable heart craft for kids and it is super, super easy. Check it out.

So, I volunteered to do a craft during the Valentine’s Day party in my 9-year-old’s class at school. Of course, I procrastinated until the day of. I decided to go the simple route and sometimes simple is more. All of the kids loved this craft and you can usually just find stuff around your house. Let’s get started.

Gather your supplies for your craft

The best part about this craft is you can do whatever you want. Basically, each child can glue and fill each of their hearts with fun objects. The sky is the limit. They can write a small note at the bottom if they want as well. Here’s some items that would work for your craft. Then just dump them onto the tray and let the kids go crazy:

Start gluing and creating!

It was so fun to see how different each heart craft for kids turned out. Everyone had their own style. We noticed that glue sticks didn’t work as well. Just good ol’ Elmer’s glue is your best bet. Also, the kids were trying to glue the pipe cleaners on the outline of the heart, but it was kind of hard to get it to stick. Playdoh worked better for that.

If I were to do it again, I would put all of the different craft items in separate containers. It kind of ended up being a crazy mess as all the kids were grabbing for different things. But it still worked out okay. And they had fun so that’s all that matters.
