My top 15 favorite LDS Young Women activities
I have served in Young Women’s for a long time. We’ve done A LOT of activities, but here are by far my favorite LDS Young Women activities that I think the girls in your ward will love as well. Check it out!

Sometimes the best activities for Young Women’s or youth nights require a little bit of extra work. Although not all of these activities are super difficult, they do require a little bit of planning. Thankfully, I’ve created printable packets for almost all of them, so most of the work has already been done. Let’s get started!
#1: Book of Mormon Murder Mystery
This is a great way to get your girls excited about reading their scriptures. This was definitely a hit and can be play as a combined young women or even all of the youth in your ward.

#2: LDS scripture escape room
I couldn’t find much stuff online on LDS escape rooms, so I basically created this one from scratch. The girls move from room to room solving clues about the scriptures. Everyone LOVED it!

#3: LDS Mad Libs
Most kids remember doing Mad Libs when they were little. This is the fun LDS version. I wrote 15 different Mad Libs stories that each girl can fill out and them read them out loud together. It makes for lots of laughs.

#4: Photo Scavenger Hunt
Break into teams at the mall or a big store and identify and take photos of items on your list. The team to get the most items on their list wins. It’s super fun and really easy prep.

#5: Career Night
These youth have a lot of big decisions to make in the next few years. That’s why a career night is a great way to help them start thinking about and preparing for the future. This activity was a big undertaking but it was wildly successful. Everyone loved it.

#6: Teaching Burger
Many of the youth struggle with teaching lessons on Sundays, so I designed a fun activity that teaches them how to teach. It’s called the Teaching Burger. It’s simple and fun. It only took about an hour and the girls felt more confident about teaching afterwards.

#7: My Sister’s Closet clothing exchange
This is the kind of activity that ALL of the girls love. Each of the Young Women donated clothes, jewelry, shoes and other fashion and beauty items from their closets. On the night of the activity, every got to come and fill a bag with items they wanted. The rest was donated to good will. It was awesome!

#8: LDS Family Feud
This is a great activity to play with the Young Men. Divide into teams and answer LDS-related trivia questions. This entire game is printable so you don’t have to deal with electronics. So fun.

#9: Thank you notes for temple workers
This is a fun service activity. Just leave a cute thank you note and a treat on the cars parked at your closest temple.

#10: Where’s Waldo
Divide into groups at a large department store and find disguised members of your ward wandering around. It’s super fun!

#11: Scripture Treasure Hunt
This is a fun activity that can be held in your church building. Each clue requires the participants to look up scriptures to find the next clue. This also works for primary activity days groups as well.

#12: Taste Test Challenge
All of the girls taste different food while blindfolded. The team to make the most correct guesses wins. This was definitely a hit and surprisingly easy to set up.

#13: Day of the Dead Family History Night
This is a great activity to do in October, but it also works any time of year. Feed the youth a nacho bar and then ask someone in the ward to set up an ofrenda and talk about their family history. Have the girls bring a family dessert and the recipe to share with everyone at the end.

#14: 1,000 Acts of Service Puzzle
Organize a service activity for the evening to kick off the 1,000 acts of service puzzle. Then, throughout the month, urge the youth to complete as many acts of service as they can. Each act of service completes a puzzle piece on the service puzzle. It was so fun to see this puzzle come and realize all the service the youth were performing.

#15: Minute to Win It
Minute to Win It games are a classic for a reason. Everyone loves them! We did this as an activity with the deacons and of course, it was a hit.

Bonus activity idea: Utah Temple Tour
If you’re looking for a bigger activity for girls camp or youth conference for example, a Utah Temple Tour is awesome. The youth can try to do baptisms at as many temples in Utah as they can in one day. This is a great way to help the youth develop a love and testimony of the temple.

I hope you like these LDS Young Women activities. All of them were honestly so much fun to prepare. It was so fun seeing all these girls grow spiritually and create friendships that will last a lifetime. Let me know if you have any favorite activity ideas in the comments below.
