Quick and cute class Christmas story and treat
“Oh crap.” That is what I thought this morning when I remembered that I volunteered to do the class Christmas story and treat for my son’s class party today. But after a quick trip to the store and the library, I gave myself a pat on the back. This class treat turned pretty sweet. Here’s what I did.
Get your supplies
I was scouring the internet for a cute and clever class Christmas story with a cute and clever treat to match. Then I realized I could just fill a paper bag with a fun snack and label it whatever I want. So, I here’s what I got:
Mini candy canes
As for the book, I had two options, Olive the other Reindeer and Snowmen at Christmas. Most kids have already read both of those but that’s what makes it fun. They love it.
Put it all together
There are 29 kids in my son’s kindergarten class, so I just opened up all the brown paper bags and started dumping in the treats. Then, I folded over the top of the bags about two inches and stapled this cute FREE PRINTABLE – Snowman food tag to the front of the flap. You can also use this FREE PRINTABLE – Reindeer food tag depending on which book you choose to read. It only took me like 20 minutes to do it all.
Enjoy your class Christmas story & treat
Kindergarteners love story time especially when there is a treat involved. All of the kids loved hearing the story and were excited to see what surprises were inside their bags of snowman food. This is definitely a class Christmas story and treat that I will be doing again.
