As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Plan of Salvation or Plan of Happiness is one of the core elements of our beliefs. It explains who we are, why we are here on earth and where we are going after we die. This printable is the perfect way to visualize this plan in a simplified way. Check it out.
Download and print your PDF
I originally got the idea of this specific design after a sister missionary taught the Plan of Salvation to our mission prep class. It is a 4-page 8.5×11 printable PDF. I recommend printing it in full color on cardstock and then laminating it. That way you can re-use it over and over.

Cut out your visual aid pieces
After you print your PDF, you’ll want to cut out each individual piece on pages two through four. It only took me about 10 minutes to cut out all of the pieces. You should have 12 pieces in total when you’re done.

Teach your lesson on the Plan of Salvation
If you are teaching this to one or two people, you can sit at a table and lay the pieces on the table as you discuss them. If you’re doing it in front of a large group, you can tape the pieces onto a white board or chalk board as you discuss them.
Begin by placing the title, “God’s plan of” at the top of the board. Then ask the students what is God’s plan called. Some may respond with “happiness”, “salvation”, etc. Explain that you’re going to talk about His plan but don’t tell them that it’s called “God’s Plan of Love”. They will figure that out as you start placing pieces on the board.
Then, start explaining each of the parts of the Plan of Salvation beginning with the “Premortal life”. Place each item on the board as you explain. Try to place each piece so that it looks like the image on the instruction page. You’ll want to be precise so they can read the word, “Love” by the end of the lesson.
At the end, you can explain that God has created this plan because He loves us and wants us to be happy. Add an additional scriptures, quotes or other reference as needed.

I gave this lesson to my kids at home and it was fun to watch as they realized that the visual aids formed the word “love”. It is really impactful when they understand the plan and tie it together to how much God really does love each of us. I am so grateful for this plan. It truly is a plan of love.
