I first tried this recipe at a family party. My sister made it and I was hooked! It’s really healthy and packed with flavor. And best of all, it’s easy. Here’s how to make it yourself.
Gather your strawberry spinach salad ingredients
This salad is really versatile. You can add or take away any ingredients that you want. Here’s what I use (and love):
- Baby spinach (1 lb)
- Strawberries or canned mandarin oranges
- Cashews
- Cottage cheese
- Swiss cheese
- Craisins
- Mushrooms
- Bacon bits or chopped bacon
- Brianna’s Poppyseed Dressing

Start chopping
Next, you’ll want to chop up your strawberries, Swiss cheese and mushrooms until you have about a cup of each. If you’re cooking your bacon, you’ll want to chop those up after you have cooked them. You’ll want to end up with about a cup of each chopped ingredient. You can substitute canned mandarin oranges instead of strawberries if you want.

Assemble everything
Pour your baby spinach into a large serving bowl. Then add about one cup of the following ingredients on top of the spinach:
- Mushrooms
- Craisins
- Swiss cheese
- Strawberries
- Cottage cheese
- Cashews
- Bacon bits

Add dressing and mix
Finally, pour an entire bottle of Brianna’s Poppyseed Dressing over the salad and mix everything together with tongs or two forks. Make sure you don’t pour the dressing until right before you are ready to serve so that it doesn’t get soggy.
