How to make Jell-O Easter Eggs in three easy steps
If your kids are like mine, then they LOVE Jell-O. That’s why you need to make these Jell-O Easter Eggs! They are super easy and super fun. Plus, they don’t cost a lot of money either. I’ll show you how to do it in three easy steps. Check it out!
Jell-O is awesome. Am I right? That’s why when I saw a whole bunch of molds for easter eggs at a yard sale, I had to buy them. It’s a fun and easy activity that you can do with your kids year after year. So, here’s how you can make some with your family.
Step #1: Gather supplies for your Jell-O Easter Eggs
These Jell-O eggs don’t require a lot of supplies. Here’s what you’ll need:
Apparently, they don’t make these Jell-O molds anymore. But you can easily find some on Ebay or you can try cutting a hole on the top of a normal plastic Easter egg and pour the mold into it.
Step #2: Prepare and pour Jell-O mix
Combine 1 1/4 cup of boiling water to 6 oz of Jell-O mix. Stir until the mix is totally dissolved. I was making four different colors of eggs, so I boiled five cups of water and then divided it into separate bowls with mix in it. One box of 6 oz Jell-O mix will fill one mold of six eggs. Pour the mix slowly into the lightly greased molds. Make sure that the molds are closed tightly. You don’t want them to leak at all.
Step #3: Refrigerate for at least three hours
The last and final step is to place the filled molds into the fridge for at least three hours.
Once your eggs are set, pop open the molds and your eggs should slip right out. They should be as jiggly as ever!
We took a huge batch of yummy Jell-O Easter eggs to our family dinner and all of the kids gobbled them up. They were a huge hit. Needless to say, we are definitely going to make these eggs an annual tradition.
I hope you have as much fun with these eggs as we did! What other fun traditions does your family have during Easter? Leave your comments below.
