Set up refreshment table
You can your birthday water party simple or go all out. I spent the most time on the refreshment table. Each item represented some type of water/beach item with FREE printable labels (download below). Here’s what I bought:
- Rainbow Twizzlers (pool noodles)
- Cheese Balls (beach balls)
- Otter pops
- Watermelon and popsicle sticks (melon-sicles)
- Cupcakes with teddy grahams and peach rings (swim cakes)
- Blue Raspberry Kool-Aid (Ocean Breeze)
- Shark Wall Poster or Beach Wall Poster
- Beach pails and shovels
You can download and print the labels for each of the refreshments below.
Make your party favor
Since my refreshment table was full of sugary treats, I decided to give each of the kids a small squirt gun with a cute note on it. They were all super excited about it and they played with them the entire party. Download the party favor label below.
Set up your water slide and activities
So, I reserved a water slide. If you’re a Utah local, Plan-It Rentals is a great company to use. It only cost my $70 to rent a big water slide for the entire day! You pick it up in the morning. Set up is a cinch and then you return it the next morning. You can also buy your own backyard water slide.
Overall, the party was a huge success. The kids had so much fun and it was super easy for me. Everyone was self-entertained so I could just watch the kids have fun. My kind of party.
