It’s time for girls camp! Yay! So, if you’re planning this fun camping adventure with your young women, here’s one of the best LDS girls camp games to get the girls thinking about others and having fun in the process. It’s Girls Camp Bingo! Check it out!
I’ve worked with the Young Women in our Latter-day Saint congregation for a few years and Young Women camp is one of the most fun parts of this calling. As adult leaders, we try to plan lots of team-building activities that involve all of the teenage girls, make them feel welcome, feel the Holy Ghost and draw closer to their Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. This game is a great way to do all of those things. It is so much fun. You can involve the youth camp leaders and the stake leaders as well. Let’s get started.
Download and print your Girls Camp BINGO game
This BINGO game comes with two versions on a 8.5×11 high-quality PDF. Just print as many copies as you want. You can print it in full color or black and white. Send it to your local copy store or print it at home.
You can download your PDF by clicking on the link at the end of this blog post.
Purchase supplies for your BINGO game
You can have your girls mark off each item on their BINGO sheet with a pen or with some cute stickers. Whatever you prefer. In addition, you want to have some prizes for the girls once they complete a BINGO and once they get a Blackout. You can give them a sucker or a mini candy bar if they get a BINGO. If they go the extra mile and finish their entire board, you can give them friendship bracelets or a keychain or whatever you want!
How to play Girls Camp BINGO
The main idea of this BINGO game is to encourage the girls to get out of their comfort zones and get to know and serve each other during girl’s camp. Give each girl a BINGO sheet on the first day of camp and the camp kickoff and encourage them to complete all the items their sheet before the end of the camping trip. If they complete a BINGO they get a small prize and if they complete every square, they get a bigger prize.
Here are some examples of the fun ideas they need to complete during their free time:
- Read the Young Women theme
- Do an act of service
- Pray specifically for another person
- Cheer for someone during an activity
- Sit by someone new
- Do a service for a leader
- Much, much more!
I wasn’t sure if the girls would like this BINGO game but surprisingly, all of them loved it! Once the first girl got their prize, the other girls were pretty motivated throughout the duration of the camp to get their own prize. Plus, the items on the sheet are fairly easy to do. It’s a great way to get these awesome LDS girls involed.
