Mommy Survival Kit: the perfect baby shower gift, printable tags included!
Instead of buying some onesies for your next baby shower, give the new mom in your life something they can’t live without–a Mommy Survival Kit. It’s super easy to make and is sure to bring a few laughs and smiles in the process.

For my cousin’s baby shower, I was tired of giving the same old gift every time. So, as a mother of five, I put together a basket of items that I thought she could really use as a new mom. Not only was the gift practical, it made everyone in the room laugh. Here’s how you can do it too.

Print your Mommy Survival Kit gift tags
The first thing you’ll need to do is print the gift tags that go with each item in the basket. These gift tags are hilarious. I tried to bring in the realities of motherhood in a fun, rhyming way. They turned out pretty fun. Click on the link below to print your gift tags:

Cut and attach tags to gifts
I tried to include items in this survival kit that I can’t live without as a mom. I ended up with the 15 items. Each rhyming gift tag corresponds to a fun and practical gift that every mom needs. Choose all or some of the following gift tags to include in your gift basket for the new mom.
- Lanolin
- Sippies
- Bathtub Crayons
- Sunscreen
- Foot Soak
- Tylenol
- Door Knob Covers
- Band-Aids
- Hand Sanitizer
- Binky Clips
- Toilet Lock
- Gloves
- Macaroni & Cheese
- Magic Erasers
- Super Glue

Just cut the tags into strips and then attach them to the corresponding gifts. My cousin loved reading each of these gift tags out loud as she opened her gift. It was a fun way to celebrate this new mom and make her feel special.

Fill and wrap your basket
I found a cute blue basket to put all of the gifts in. But you can use any type of basket you want. After I filled it with gifts, I wrapped it with some cellophane and finished it off with a bow. Then, the most important part is to attach the Mommy Survival Kit gift tag to the outside of the basket. This cute tag kind of finishes off the entire ensemble.

I was so happy with the way this kit turned out. I hope the mom-to-be enjoys her survival kit too! If you want to download the printable gift tags that go along with this kit, click on the link below. Enjoy!!
