Do-it-yourself Halloween costume contest trophies (with printable labels)
Everyone loves a good costume contest. But if you’re going to have a contest, you better have some equally awesome costume contest trophies to give to the winners. These mini witch’s cauldron trophies are just too cute for words and super easy to make. Check it out.
We recently had a costume contest with some of the youth from my church. I wanted to make it fun and get everyone excited, so I decided to make these cute trophies for the winners. They are really easy and inexpensive to make. Here’s how to do it.
Gather your costume contest trophies supplies
Believe it or not, I had all of the supplies for these trophies at home already. But if you don’t have everything on stock, they are supplies that are pretty easy to find. Here’s what you’ll need:
Assemble your cauldron
Stuff two crumpled paper towels and stuff them into the mini cauldron. Then break off the end of one of the skewers and nestled it into the cauldron and let it lean on the side.
Place a handful of pony beads into the cauldron until the paper towels are completely covered. Then, slowly pour some Modge Podge over all of the beads until they are covered.
Add your tiny potion bottle
As an added touch, you can tie one of the mini glass bottles to the handle of the cauldron. I filled my glass bottle with a little water, olive oil and food coloring to give it a spooky effect. It turned out super cute.
Print and attach your award labels
Of course, these costume contest trophies wouldn’t be complete without an award to go with it. I designed these cute printable awards. Just cut them out, punch a hole in each one and slip them onto the stirring stick in the cauldron. Super easy. Click on the link below to print your own.

I hope you love these costume contest trophies as much as we did. The youth who didn’t win an award even asked me if I could make them their own mini cauldrons because they loved them so much. Let me know how your costume contest goes in the comments below.
