Treats and talks: a fun LDS General Conference activity for kids
It’s conference time again! Yay! Every family needs a good LDS General Conference activity for kids. This is an easy activity that motivates the kids to listen to the talks. Check it out!

When I was setting up all these treats before conference was starting, my son Pete said, “Mom, I think this is the best activity you have ever done for conference.” I take that as a win. Here’s how to do it.
Gather your supplies
You might already have some items sitting in your pantry for this fun General Conference activity for kids. I went to the grocery store and bought fifteen different treats or snacks that I thought my kids would like. All of the items were just a couple dollars each. Here’s what I bought:
- Mamba magic sticks
- Pringles
- Dum dum suckers
- Gum
- Apple juice
- Fruit cups
- Starburst jelly beans
- Jelly pops
- Jelly pop sticks
- Marshmallow cones
- Chewy sweet tarts
- Sour Patch kids
- Goldfish graham
- Goldfish vanilla cupcake
- Popcorn

Print and attach pictures of prophet and apostles
Next, you’ll want to print a small picture of each of the apostles and the prophet. You should have 15 total. You can also download a PDF of all these pictures at the end of this blog post. Although the pictures will change as the leadership of the church changes, hopefully this file will help.

Then, cut and attach each picture to the individual treats or snacks that you bought for this activity. I attached the pictures randomly to each treat. It doesn’t really matter.

Display your treats and start playing!
I carefully displayed all of the yummy treats and snacks next to our fireplace in our living room. I told all of my kids that whenever an apostle or the prophet speaks, they need to find the corresponding treat with their picture.
As an added difficulty, you can make them say the name of the apostle. Or, you can even make them sit at watch the entire talk before they actually get to eat the treat.

This is a great LDS general conference activity for kids because it is suited for young and old. Even my teenagers were getting involved. They would get excited to see who was going to speak next. It also motivates your kids to pay attention because if they missed a talk, they didn’t get the treat.
I hope you like this idea to keep you kids motivated while watching LDS General Conference. Let me know how this activity goes in your own home in the comments below.
