So, I threw a bridal shower for my niece and it was so much fun putting everything together, from the balloons to the food to the party favors. And it all turned out perfect and it was easier to put together than I thought. Here’s some bridal shower ideas to help you with your next celebration.
#1: Simple invitations
You don’t have to print expensive invitations and mailed them out to everyone. It’s totally acceptable to text an electronic invitation to your guests. Plus, you can get the word out much quicker and receive RSVP faster as well. Here’s the invitation that I designed for the party.
#2: Fresh flowers
For just $10-$20 you can get a big bouquet of fresh flowers to put on the buffet table. It adds a touch of elegance and makes the entire room feel welcoming.
#3: A cute color scheme
I’m not sure why, but rose gold just seems like the perfect color for a bridal shower. But whatever color you choose, make sure it connects with all of your decorations from the party favors to the flatware to the punch.
#4: Balloons and confetti
I realized that you can spend a whole lot of money on bridal shower decorations, but sometimes less is more. With just about a dozen balloons and some table confetti, you can brighten up any space. The table confetti brings the entire room together since you can scatter it on the table, the counter and any other gathering area. And balloons aren’t just for birthday parties.
#5: Framed photos of the happy couple
Before the shower, I asked my sister-in-law to send me some photos of her daughter and fiancé. I printed and framed all of the pictures and placed them throughout my house during the shower. It was so fun and personal touch to the shower that everyone enjoyed.
#6: Fancy paper goods
Don’t forget to include the paper goods in your party planning details. It’s the details, after all, that upgrades an average bridal shower to an awesome bridal shower. I found this super cute rose gold paper goods that completed the buffet table perfectly.
#7: His and Her Favorite party favor
Since bridal showers are all about the bride and her fiance, I asked each of them what their favorite treat was. Then I made some labels that said, “His favorite” and “Her favorite” and placed them on a self-sealing cellophane bags filled with the candies. I placed them in a basket on the buffet table. They were a hit!
#8: “Guess who” bride and groom game
Before the shower, I texted the groom and asked him a bunch of questions about the bride. Then, during the shower, I asked the bride the same questions to see how well she knew the groom. Everyone loved listening to the answers and it was fun to get to know the couple a little bit better. Here’s some of the questions that I asked:
#9: Shared lunch menu
Don’t feel like you have to provide all of the food, decorations and all the extras. I recruited my family members to help out with the food and it was so helpful. I asked people to bring a fruit tray, veggie tray, desserts, pasta salad and green salad. The entire spread was so delicious.
#10: Bride-to-be sash
Hopefully, if the bride is a good sport, she’ll be excited about one of these bridal shower ideas. I bought a sash that said, “Bride-to-be” and she wore it during the entire shower. It was fun to put all of the focus on her and get everyone excited about her big day.
I hope these bridal shower ideas will get your excited for the next celebration that you are throwing in your home. Let me know how it goes in the comments below.
