  1. My previous attempt at bubble mix of cornflour and glycerine was a fail. So I kept researching and was so glad I found your blog with proven results in your video. I made the Guar gum bubble mix and it worked so well and kept the kids entertained on New Year’s Eve. I used Fairy detergent as I’m in Australia

  2. Thanks for this idea…I made the recipe and it makes bubbles but they aren’t nearly as BIG as yours…can you suggest what I might have done wrong?

  3. Hi. In what order do you mix the ingredients in the “1st place” recipe together? I’ve made it a couple times and, while it makes great bubbles, I always get little jelly balls of Guam gum powder that don’t dissolve into the mixture.

    1. I like to mix the guar gum, baking powder and rubbing alcohol together until they are well-combined and then add the dish soap and the water. Hopefully that helps!

    2. I mixed the guar gum and baking powder with the rubbing alcohol first, then added the soap and then added that mix into the water already in a bucket and I didn’t get any lumps.

  4. Thank you for this recipe! Can confirm it works SO well, even with an extra large bubble (broom sticks and 15′ of cotton) and I will use it again. Kids and adults alike were amazed and entertained. In fact, if you do this in a park, expect kids from neighbouring picnics to come running.😆… Also, have fun keeping the kids from popping the bubbles before they are even finished forming🙄😅
